Hiroki Miyadera is the Japanese Business Advisory Leader for South & East Asia in Mercer. He leads a cross-business & cross-country team to service Japanese multinational companies operating in ASEAN, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Hiroki has more than 12 years of experience working with clients in various phases of M&A transactions, from due diligence to do-by-close to post-acquisition, and offers insights developed through his unique combination of M&A experiences as an acquirer and a financial advisor. His recent projects includes due diligence of target companies with multinational locations, development of retention strategy for key executives, and HR transition support across Europe, North America and emerging countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Before his move to Mercer Singapore, Hiroki was in Mercer Japan office leading a similar role. Prior to joining Mercer, Hiroki worked with Olympus Capital Holdings Asia, a private equity firm where he led due diligence of target companies in Japan and throughout Asia and conducted analysis of financial and business planning for investment decisions. He has also worked in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities as an advisor in M&A transactions and Mitsubishi Corporation where he was involved in establishing a trans-Pacific JV.
Hiroki holds a BA from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and an MBA from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
