Mercer Singapore's 40th Anniversary Celebration

29 November 2018  Asean, Singapore

    • Distinguished Guest-of-Honor, Minister of State for the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of Manpower, Mr Zaqy Mohamad, gave an inspiring speech on how technology is transforming our Singapore workforce and in fact extending the employability of workers. He drew attention to Mercer’s newly-launched Singapore Employee Engagement Index and spoke passionately about how human capital development is not only essential for our economy to remain competitive and for Singaporeans to continue to have better jobs, better salaries and better careers, but it is also a crucial element for businesses to attract and retain talent.

From humble beginnings back in 1978, with only three staff and fraught with challenges in setting up a legal entity, Mercer Singapore has since grown into a thriving organization of almost 400 staff and over 1,200 clients – brought together with the shared purpose of advancing the health, wealth and careers of people in Singapore. In the spirit of gratitude, we recognized clients who have supported us through the years with some fun and unconventional appreciation awards: Lasting Legacy, Trail Blazer, Sleepless in Singapore, Bright Beginnings, Spotlight and Rojak.

In support of #GivingWeekSG, we partnered with local social enterprise, Personalized Love (PLove) at this celebration. PLove is a local social enterprise in 2014 with the mission of empowering special needs persons through inclusive employment opportunities with the objective of maximizing the full potential of each individual. All our guests walked away with personalised, hand-made, one-of-a-kind door gifts by PLove artisans featuring the Singapore skyline.

#MercerSG40 generated a ton of likes and comments on social media from clients and partners.
