Dr. Ake Ayawongs
Partner and CEO
Dr. Ake is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Mercer Thailand. He is also the Health & Wealth Business Leader. His focus is in advising clients on organizational and human capital issues resulting from international business expansion, mergers & acquisitions, business transformations, and changes in employee health, wealth, and career programs.
He has held multiple regional leadership roles at Mercer and was the Region Head of M&A Transaction Services for Growth Markets (Asia, ME, Africa, Latin America) prior to Thailand country leadership. He is a frequent speaker on M&A integration, organizational transformation, global HR management, and the future of jobs in Asia.
He has advised state-owned enterprises (SOEs), Global Fortune 1000 and Asian MNCs on organizational transformation, M&A HR / employee benefits / pension due diligence and integration, executive & talent retention, organization redesign, workforce planning & analytics, performance management, compensation & benefit redesign, expat compensation and talent mobility, leadership & culture integration, talent management, and communication & change management in the energy (utilities, resource, oil & gas, petrochemical), financial services (banking, insurance), high-tech, pharmaceutical, retail, consumer goods, and professional services sectors.
Business Development Manager
Watcharapong is the Head of Business Development at Mercer Thailand. He is responsible for growing business and enhancing synergies across lines of business in Health, Wealth and Career. Watcharapong has a diverse background ranging from banking & finance, economic research, health care to management and HR consulting for various industries including oil & gas, banking, manufacturing, food & beverage and media business. His experience is mostly related to people management, venture capital, investment, M&A, strategy formulation and implementation .
Watcharapong was previously a project manager in Mercer’s Talent Consulting business where he led teams that managed consulting projects covering areas like organization restructuring, HR transformation and workforce planning for leading organizations in the country. He also has expertise in change management, salary structure design, performance management and sales effectiveness.
His last role before rejoining Mercer was a strategist for a global private fund of a leading securities company. He assisted the head of wealth management in expanding private fund and wealth management business in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Watcharapong is a committee member of Thai Fulbright Alumni Association, Thai Young Philanthropist Network and US Embassy Youth Advisory Council. He also taught Econometrics class part-time at Assumption University.
Health & Wealth Senior Consultant
Suwattana is a Senior Consultant in the Health & Wealth Business of Mercer Thailand. She provide consultancy on the employee benefit related area especially on retirement plan design for the plan changes to deliver the full solutions from the analysis to implementation, from designing the plan to provider selection to implementation of the plan. She also provides consultancy on actuarial valuations for the pension accounting to multinational companies and local firms in Thailand.
Suwattana has joined Mercer since 2010 and she provides consultancy in employee benefit valuation including accounting standards under US GAAP and IFRS for number of clients. She has been involved in the retirement benefit plan design projects and supported its implementation.
Prior to joining Mercer, Suwattana was the Senior Analyst at Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited , a leading financial institution in Thailand working in ATM Network Development section. Her role was in charge of market data analysis to provide strategic planning for Siam Commercial Bank network expansions and refine the market direction for competitiveness.
Health & Wealth Consulting Actuary
Kasin is a Senior Associate and Consulting Actuary in the Health & Wealth of Mercer Thailand specializing in employee benefit design and valuation, claim analytics, workforce analytics, insurance reserve valuation, risk capital optimization, solvency and capital modeling and product development.
At Mercer, he provides consultancy on employee benefit valuation of retirement programs in accordance with international accounting standards for local and multinational corporate clients.
Prior to joining Mercer, he was a consulting actuary concentrating on group health insurance product assessment, design and claim analytics to promote profitability and performance. He also provided consultancy on reserve valuations and capital optimization under Thailand’s RBC1 and RCB2 frameworks.
Health & Wealth Consultant
Sirikarn is a Senior Analyst in the Retirement Team of Mercer Thailand. She oversees the Project Management and coordinates with Mercer Valuation Team in Global Operation Shared Services (GOSS). She also actively involves in client management and monitors the project external timeline and provides pension accounting consultancy to multinational companies and local firms.
Sirikarn has joined Mercer in 2014 to support the team on number of valuation projects as project manager to monitor the process from kick off to deliverables. She has involved in the Plan Design Projects for the employee benefits for leading Japanese company.
Prior to joining Mercer, Sirikarn worked at Krungthai-Axa Life Insurance Public Company Limited as an Actuarial Analyst. Her responsibilities were involved the pricing for both individual and group insurance products.
